Smoke forecast maps from NOAA

NOAA's High Resolution Rapid Refresh smoke model generates forecast maps of smoke density over the continental United States.

The model runs every 6 hours, at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00 UTC (that's 5 AM, 11 AM, 5 PM, and 11 PM, for you folks in the smoky PDT time zone). The forecast covers the coming 37 hours, with one map for each hour. It takes about 5 hours of computer time to produce all 37 hours of the forecast, so if you check shortly after the 6-hourly updates you'll see only the first few hours of forecasts.
